Jackson has about ten Division I offers at this point in time from the likes of DePaul, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana State, St. Louis, Northern Illinois, Eastern Illinois, and Detroit.
Really doubtful. So we've got no shot right?
http://blogs.suntimes.com/hoopsreport/2009/07/class_of_2010_special_at_the_t.html13. Phillip Jackson, 6-8, PF, Chicago (Providence St. Mel) ... Progress has stagnated somewhat, but he's looking for a bounce-back July. He is fluid with speed running up and down the floor. Long, a body to build on. Has developed a decent turnaround jump shot but still very inconsistent offensively but has a nice touch. Has to become more aggressive, find a way to draw fouls, get to the line.
http://ilprepbullseye.com/page23.htmlThere is no question that Illinois State University has made significant headway in their recruitment of a pair of class of 2010 prospects--6'1 shooting guard Mike McCall from Foreman High School in Chicago and 6'8 forward Phillip Jackson, who recently decided to transfer from Providence-St. Mel High School in Chicago. This is due largely to the efforts of assistant coach Paris Parham, who continues to do an outstanding job of utilizing his strong ties throughout the city of Chicago. It is starting to look very much like McCall could end up at a program in a mid-major conference, where he would be an absolute steal for any school at that level. Jackson's recruitment is a little bit tougher to gage at this point.
He's currently got intrest from: ISU,Illinois State,DePaul,Iowa State,Marquette,Providence and SIU
