There are several things harpooning his PER. The FTs as you mentioned is a small part -- 47%. The drop in his FG% after the 1-8 is a part. The fact he now is the team leader in turnovers is a part. That it is all considered against how many minutes they play and our offensive pace so if they play 30 minutes and aren't productive, its just a recipe to sink.Tre Williams has played better than that 9. whatever would seem to suggest. He's had his moments and he can't shoot free throws too well but dang... I would actually like to see him shoot a few more 3's - he seems to have a decent touch. It's not like our guards outside of Cooper can shoot so why not let him give it a go.
