Wonder if Evansville regrets pulling the trigger too quickly on hiring Lickliter.

unlikely --- mccarty didn't put that institution in a great situation; lickliter is a proven coach, Evansville is still trying to reap benefits off it's 50-yr removed celebrity, success

Lickliter crashed pretty hard at Iowa and has spent the last decade in obscurity.

Overall, a winning record, head coach at 3 different programs; obscurity to whom? to Power 5 fans perhaps, should the Deuces have signed Graves?

his record is far worse than Lickliter

honestly, who gives a sh*t -- it's the Deuces

Some big names unemployed that have done well in college are Tim Miles and John Beilein.

Tim Miles would be AWESOME as our next coach, South Dakota guy, LOTS of positivity and enthusiasm on the sidelines, great coach! Hope he's our next coach!

he's likely making more in his TV gigs than Lansing

plus, he requests 5-yr contracts w/ an AUTOMATIC ROLLOVER!!!!

and he's considered a front-runner for the now vacant Wyoming job

No doubt you speak from a life of experience - of being fired that is

You seem to think you know more about me than you do about winning basketball or how much I "used to donate" until about halfway through Lansing's career to the athletic department? You are so wrong on so many accounts.

Couldn't care less about how much you "used to donate," if your donation was significant, you could buy out Lansing's contract.

I know THIS much about "winning basketball"

The Trees were projected to finish 6th in the Valley

https://mvc-sports.com/news/2019/10/14/arch-madness-2019-20-mvc-mens-basketball-preseason-poll.aspx

Yet, they finished 3rd and won in Springfield AND Carbondale -- an event that has rarely, RARELY occurred - ever.

Trees are 5-28 in Springfield; 2 of those 5 wins are Lansing's.
Trees are 13-53 in Carbondale; 3 of those 13 wins are Lansing's

When the time comes, let’s hope we get someone who is familiar with every corner of the state of Indiana and has some name recognition.

Dave, why are you hatin' on wiki? depending on the story/page/article, you'll find all of the original source material on each page -- are you embarrassed that you can't easily peruse a wiki article? Or did you cite one as a source and have the instructor/your boss ride you like a rented mule?

for some reason, ISU basketball only has ~40 (of 125 years of Trees' MBB) or so annual season "pages"

  • This particular research was from Deuce Hunt's non-award winning MBB media guide for the 2019-20 season

https://gosycamores.com/documents/2019/10/31/Full_2019_20_Yearbook.pdf

depending on your browser, the page(s) with the SIU and SMS series are pages 48-49

I could suggest you use the isu page on the college basketball page of sports reference but they don't have the entire history of isu

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana-state/

need any other help with your homework?

He was out of coaching for three years in there and his only head coaching job in the past decade was at Marian and he didn't so great there.

Again, who cares who the aces hire, after all isn't it BETTER that every program in the Valley hire a shitty coach? Doesn't that make it EASIER for the Trees to win?
