Probably the best thing published on each team for this season. I wish others who had predictions did this much research. He did a power ranking and not a projection. The only thing I was able to see he got wrong was Palm is not with Valpo again. Good read.

Just now getting around to reading this; thanks for sharing. This is probably the best preseason write-up I’ve also seen.

While the “ranking” doesn’t really matter it does give a great preview of each team, their current roster construction, and especially some insight into the newcomers to the league.

To summarize, even someone who has researched each team pretty extensively has no real idea how this season is going to shake out. This league is wide open, in both directions.

Still find it very interesting that Drake gets a new coach and a roster largely made up of Division II players and people think they are a top four team.

Not sure if that says more about what people think of Drake’s new coach or what people think of the returning rosters in the MVC

Maybe a bit of both.

I agree. I have to admit I know nothing about the D2 players they brought in, but I think we’ve seen how this has not worked year-1 in the past. He’s also obviously very high on Cam, which makes sense. He’s a really good player…a player I wished would have kept his commitment to us.

Also, they better be hoping Shetlar takes a huge step forward this year. I have much higher hopes for Daughtry, Gray and Vorst taking steps forward for us than I would about Shetlar.

Found another preview. It’s not as good. I kind of stop reading after he picked Belmont 4th and scrolled down to Sycamore section and was like I could of wrote better.

To put in prospective, they have Shetler as a projected starter for DU…I don’t believe he would be starting for the squad we have.

We’ll see though, since we essentially swapped Shet for Camp.

Yep. And unless Shetlar added about 30 pounds of muscle I’ll take Camp.
Agree. No disrespect for Shetlar because I would have been more than happy to bring him back. But based on admittedly very little samples (since neither played huge minutes last year) I am more than comfortable swapping Shetlar for Camp.

I think Camp is a better ball handler and probably a little stronger on defense (Shetlar’s biggest weakness last year).

SIU is going to be a MUCH more balanced team this year. Watching them against CoC and they actually get multiple people involved.

If they were hitting from deep, they'd be up easy.
