Another video as an 8th grader. Shows some nice passing. He had 48 points in his last game and is dominating. Problem is playing all small schools so far.

Not to keep building this kid up but found out yesterday his high school head coach is Jerry Hoover who is a former ISU assistant coach.

just read the article and watched the embedded video, holy cow this kids is something else!

the pass at :26 is unreal!

Luke Brown Scored 44 points - 10 Ast and 6 reb on Saturday. He is averaging 39.6 points a game through 3 games. Freak of nature

So last Weekend. Luke beat Elwood 55-34.

Final score 98-34. Shot 84% from the field. Insane

here is the YouTube video from tonight's game at Randolph Southern, even if you just watch the 1st quarter you will be amazed! This kid's passes just in the 1st quarter are VERY Bird-like. CRAZY good!

I mean really, is this a kid we even TRY to recruit since he is that good already?

If he has high major ability, it will probably go like most of those situations where we will be the first to offer and then quickly forgotten when the big names swoop in much later. Can’t hurt to throw an offer out there if he can play.

watch from 47:30 to 49:00 in the broadcast, the announcers are HILARIOUS! Cussing and everything. And the Brown behind the head pass is unreal.

He does have high major ability... Remember he was home schooled and now attends a high school with 500 students in a small town. Everything points to big fish in small pond setup. He also is playing with one cousin (Steffen Hoover) and I believe a brother (Nate). Its a family affair. Nate is not D1 talent Steffen shows some positives.

Also, Lansing being a person of Faith is positive.. I think the right approach and ISU has a shot.

from the article in the IU school paper

"Even though he’s only a freshman, Ball State and Indiana State have already expressed interest"

good to see we're at least interested

HM '21 kids already have offers so it looks like his injury and lack of exposure hurt him. The fact he left Brownsburg for a small school is also going to give some schools pause. Will be interesting to see this one play out.

went to the Blackford-Madison Grant game tonight to see Luke in person, folks, this kids is the REAL DEAL, 36 points in a loss at MG, but they were ROBBED of this win, the refs were AWFUL. Luke was getting killed and getting almost no calls.

Blackford was down 1, then Luke stole an inbounds pass, and was fouled, hits 2 FTs, so Blackford is leading, then MG throws a full court pass and in the melee the refs call a foul on Blackford, MG kid hits 3 FT's and MG wins. Here is the game video, watch from the 90 minute mark on. Even these announcers talk about how awful the refs were
