First, Congratulations to Coach Furr. I wonder if this has played into our fairly slow portal signings? Also, wonder if Kristian Smith is ready to return to Terre Haute. This will be interesting to see what happens.

Looks like we'll need to find us an assistant coach in addition to rounding out our roster. Congrats to Furr getting a head gig.

@Jason Svoboda dropping such Woj level news bombs that a SID intern had to do an about face on the publish button.

He will be missed and Christian Smith is not the answer ....... a very good defensive-minded coach could be used on the staff; realizing that teaching defense to new players year after year is a challenge in itself.

It's very possible that Feig moves into the assistant role and they hire out for his. Probably depends on what sort of assistant budget Graves is working with and the candidate pool this late in the game.

Miami OH Scoring Defense Rank - 203
Indiana State Scoring Defense Rank - 334

Miami OH Team Defense Efficiency - 135
Indiana State Team Defense Efficiency - 313

I'd say Khristian Smith could help us just fine.
You need capable defenders first.

Furr having a lot of success recruiting already. Why the difficulty here?
Where do you get difficulty?? We have two open scolly’s right now we signed three with a high ceiling of potential. When the bell rings at the end of portal season there are going to be several thousand players scrambling for a place. Why not do some digging for an unknown diamond for specific needs we have not just because they sat the bench on a D1 team: as for Furr he is a recruiting machine did it for the fat man who do you think found that starting five. Did it last year for Graves. Don’t you think he knew he was going to be recruiting his own team welll before it was announced so he likely sandbagged a little to see what he could snag for himself. the may not be 5 stars as you want but we will be better next year and the last two may surprise ya!

Very good. I certainly hope you're right. I have nothing against the guys we've gotten but I feel we always have trouble getting inside help (rim protection, rebounding) or have bad luck (Manyau, Kingston, & others we've missed out on). Hopefully our coaches can pull a couple rabbits out of their hats with remaining schollies!! I also feel we "might" need to tweak our offensive scheme to fit the players we have (unless the newbies are extremely good passers).
