@SycamoreStateofMind what is the address for Thompson Saloon? I have never been there and it doesn't show on Google maps.

It’s like an escape room challenge. You gotta figure it out for yourself… that’s part of the mystery of the whole thing! Good luck.

I think we will be sending out an email with the physical address here in the next several days. I actually haven’t been to the ranch myself, but I’ve heard amazing things.

I have been pretty decent at escape rooms, but might get a little dicey looking for secret doors and passageways on private property....LOL

Think we have like 10 tickets left.

The bourbon up for silent auction looks to be some excellent selections as well as some pretty sick custom made Sycamore items custom wood engraved charcuterie board, custom back lit metal logo sign, charred sycamore logo engraved bourbon barrel tops and a few other things.

Hopefully the high rollers leave some Evan Williams for me to bid on!

hopefully there are better bourbons to bid on than Mr. Williams; not a bad bottle but if I can buy it at the local ABC... why bid?

I don’t think that’s an option… lol

They’ve got some pretty interesting stuff a couple Blantons, a Weller, Field of Dreams, chicken cock, Willet, Angles Envy single barrel, 2XO, Augusta 8 year and on - I don’t think anything like extremely difficult to get your hands on but a good enough selection to raise some money for our collective.

They’ve got a good selection of bourbons for people to drink as well Knob Creek Private label and several others plus a cigar vendor coming in from Austin, TX to hand roll cigars.

Just wanted to say what an awesome event this was. If you thought about attending but didn't or want to next time....DO IT! This was a well put together event and full of loyal Sycamores. There will be other events in the near future, so watch for those on the Facebook and x pages of Crossroad of Champions. I do know the next one will be a family friendly putt put event at Hulman Center in July. I tip my cap to everyone involved with the NIL....you are doing great great things!! Go Sycamores!

Yes, it was a great event! The wife and I went and had a great time. Kudos to James, Todd and all who made this a success.

Dang, not sure how I missed you there. Would have loved to introduce myself. I've been a big fan of the Clinkenbeard family since grade school, as your niece Heather and I went to school together most of our lives. Perhaps on the next one.

Was a great event! Thanks to all who donated and attended. Raised about $23,000 net.

This is the type of grassroots effort it’s going to take for our collective to be successful. It was a good night - $100 for good bourbon, unlimited freshly hand rolled cigars, great fellowship amongst Sycamore faithful and an unbelievable saloon setting! It was a pretty good value for $100… He surprised if we offer this experience up at this price point in the future.

This might be an idea. I’d be willing to get in on it. What about a zoom call to all those who aren’t local? See who wants to bid or at least donate to the cause? My interest if I donated a table for example, that the money would go to football. Look Out!! Comments are coming my way!

You want to donate to football head on over to https://www.crossroadofchampions.com/sign-up and sign-up, I don’t have a problem with it!

But let me get this straight… You want me/us to put together a basketball NIL fundraising event and you want to donate and dictate where the funds go?! I’m sorry sir, it doesn’t work like that.

If you would like to donate your time and energy I’d suggest you get with 96, Tuff and a few others in here who are big time football supporters and you guys can create a fundraising event for football. I will even link you up with the people at RJL who will help you get all the registration information set up online and help you promote it.

It would be pretty easy for me to just be stubborn and say I’m only going to donate my time/money to Indiana State T&F and I think most people would understand that… But as loyal as I am to that program even I know who keeps the lights on and has the ability to elevate Indiana State as a whole and that’s the basketball program (full stop). So I continue to help host the John McNichols Memorial Golf Classic that I’ve helped host since its inception - but most of my other time/donations with Indiana State focus around Crossroads of Champions - the basketball program. I also do some stuff with the Scott College of Business and am on the Alumni Association Board.

Not necessarily you but in general a lot of people want to bitch and complain about Indiana State or just things in general but are unwilling to actually do anything about it… Go do something about it - host an event and roll up your sleeves. Memory doesn’t serve me where you are located - but perhaps you’d be willing to host an Alumni Association event in a metro area close to you? That would be a great way for you to help raise money for Indiana State and connect with other regional alumni in close proximity.

But generally speaking - I don’t care if you don’t want to donate to Indiana State Basketball or Crossroads Bbball fund that’s your business you can do whatever you want with your money.
