Nope! UNLV and AFA are officially staying now and will receive $25-30M for doing so. PAC still a team short. All seven remaining MWC schools are expected to sign a binding agreement today and all will receive some sort of financial compensation for doing so.

MWC will likely add NM State and UTEP to get back to 9, while many people are speculating that Texas State may end up being the next school the PAC tries to lure.

According to McMurphy, Mountain West has interest in NIU and Toledo football.. lol

Not that they would be interested, but MAC losing members could affect the MVFC with ILST or SIU
 
Don't be surprised if Toledo ends up in the MVC. I believe they're the only realistic addition out there that actually improves the Valley's metrics. (Even NKU doesn't.)
 
I'd be thrilled to see NIU and Toledo added to the MVC. I'd be surprised if the MAC would let them stay if they left for football.

Seriously doubt the Sac State Hornets are gonna bump up to FBS in the NIL era, what's the return on that super cargo ship of cash?

what needle does Sac State sports move?

Sac State DOES have a far, FAR richer football tradition than Ind State, sits in a much, MUCH "richer" talent-laden state but Hornet FBS fball is going to draw the same ## as Hornet FCS fball.
 
This really puts Saint Mary's in a interesting situation. They were a great Robin to Gonzagas Batman. This could play out pretty well with the WCC being a shell of themselves without Gonzaga
