I love to project line-ups. So here is my starting line up next year. This assumes that Jake Odum does not red shirt. I am also going to give my line up 2 years from now. Which assumes that Jake Kelly is a Sycamore (I am just doing this for my own amusement). So please don't be judgmental.

Next Years Starting Line Up

PG. Reed (Only reason is experience)
SG. Lathan (A 2 that could play the point just as well)
SF. Marshall (He plays big enough to play SF as this level)
PF. Richard
C. Martin

Bench
PG. Odum
SG. Printy (Either of the Eitel boys could be plugged in here as well)
SF. Mahurin (Most of you see him as a SG I would assume) Other Option. Carter
PF. ? Koang (See below) or Barlow
C. Crawford

Can someone give me a report on what they think or know or have seen on Koang? Does this kid have the ability to play on this team? Can he play the PF position? Strengths, Weaknesses?Obviously we don't really know until we put him in a game situation but I am just trying to get a feel for what we know about him.

Line up in 2 years: This is simply for fun.
PG. Kelly
SG. Printy
SF. Latham (I might get cursed at for this move, I just don't know who else to put here)
PF. Richard
C. Martin

Bench
PG. Odum
SG. Printy
SF. Mahurin
PF. ?
C. Leitnaker ( I sure hope we have a better option 2 years from now)

In two years from now you have Printy on the bench and starting.....I would say he is a starter.
It's hard to tell on Koang, but from what I saw I liked. He actually handled the ball pretty well for a big guy. He also has a huge wing span.

Everyone on here is pretty sold on Printy. I however am not. We will see what the future holds. I just wish he was more emotional more vocal. He seems to just go through the motions. Maybe it's just me.

Do you think he plays hard? I don't think he gives max effort. And he is not talented enough to not give max effort. That is just my opinion. You don't play kids in college basketball based on talent anyways. They better execute, they better play hard, you better be able to trust them.

I love to do lineups too. I think you're starters are a good bet, but I would put Harry at PG and Lathan at SF. With that lineup, Printy, Carter and (dare I say Odum / RJ) make the best bench we have had for a while (if ever). Of course that's the optimistic view that's counting on improvements.
I Think Doluony is going to be a very good player for us. Energy, long arms, looked pretty quick. I think he will rebound and block shots and has some tools to score also. Similar to Martin but much more perimeter skills.

The Kelly thing is pretty far fetched at this point indeed. It is a dreamy sort of thing. But see I can do that! l:D

I have valid concerns with Cutter. Do you see him being a better player than any of the players I haver listed? Not to mention is ISU brings in Jarvis from THS in a year who has been linked in rumors to Indiana State. I can tell you for a fact that they are recruiting him along with Butler. I see no role for him at ISU in the near future.

Printy has put up decent numbers. I am just not a huge fan. Because that is what we do as fans. We watch the games and then we judge players based on what we see. I think Printy is soft, to laid back for me. He has a decent shot but does not shoot the ball enough (slow release). His def. is below average. He does handle the ball and pressure well. He is a pretty darn good passer. He has a future with Indiana State, I am just not convinced it will be as a starter.

Hopefully all of the local guys go to ISU and are great, but I'm sketpical about all of these glowing reviews. We've seen this year's freshman from Chicago, Tennessee and Iowa ripped time and again, and there have been multiple posts dreaming about how great the team would be with Odum, Jarvis, the Eitels, the kid from North and Kelly.

You, my friend, have nailed it! Jarvis has to prove to me that he is anywhere near Printy, Carter, or Cutter. I do like Odum, but?

Odum is better than Cutter and Printy anyone that has seen Odum play will 100% agree with that statement. Granted Printy can shoot the ball better than Jake but that is all he can do better than Jake. I don't care what level of basketball you are talking about. When you take a kid out of the MIC conf. you have a pretty good indication that he is or is not going to translate at the D1 level. It's one of the best conf. in the nation in ANY sport let alone a basketball conf. in a state where we do basketball pretty well.

I am not sure what else I need to do to get my point across here. But Jake Odum would and could start for this team tonight! It's fact of the matter and whether Tom James likes it or not that's fine! The kid flat out is a winner and he has put up good maybe great numbers against the top teams in the state. Heck his numbers are better in conf. than out of conf. What does that tell you?

This just in..........

According to Mike Saylor, Jake Odum is better than Chris Paul.

Haha, just kidding with ya Saylor!

I appologize for that. I thought that mixing it up would be good once in a while. But, I should have known that there is only one thing worth calling.........................TORNADO!
