Just called back up to the bigs with the Cubs. Best of luck to him and Young!

And if my math is correct, Sycamores now have three in The Show.

Manaea
Young
Rea

(I’ve always been bad at math)

Colin got to pitch the 9th inning for the Cubs in last night's 6-1 win over the Royals. First batter reached on an error, but he got the next three (two with strikeouts) to pitch a scoreless inning. He threw 18 pitches, 15 of them for strikes.

As a Royals fan who's team is clearly not competing this year, I was okay watching Colin dominate the 9th. Congrats, Colin!

Colin Rea is getting the start for the Cubs today. Not sure if he’ll be used as an “opener,” but nonetheless a great accomplishment for the young man.

They had said when they brought him up it was because he threw strikes and could eat innings in long relief or spot starts.
Best of luck Colin

Rea went 3.1 innings with 3 earned runs. No strikeouts or walks. Not too bad against that Brewers offense.
