We might forget that this person is likely 19-21 years old, but there is absolutely nothing in that article that isn't pretty damned obvious. What do I think about all the conference swapping? Exactly what I said six months about it when someone said on here they thought the confernece expansion had settled in. I said that within 6-9 months there would more movement than we had ever had and ultimately, the trickle-down affect will concern even ISU. The Valley is not going to be immune in all of this. Some of our "stronger" schools, i.e. WSU and CU, and maybe UNI, are likely to "move up" and it would appear that could happen in a few years or less. I still think the MAC will slide back to 1-AA or the conference will break up into many pieces. Who knows where that leaves us.

I have always been a proponent of 5-6 from the MVC merging with 5-6 from the MAC and for me that would be a dream come true. ALL FOOTBALL SCHOOLS too so that we are not split with two different conference lists for different sports.

Make no mistake about it, all this mayhem will eventually reach us at Indiana State. We'll see if my crystal ball is accurate, or maybe I am way off....but I bet I am more right than wrong.

Yeah, Indiana statesman has bumped a large portion of their sports coverage but they have space for this? (statesman is doing a bit better with their sports coverage granted)

Thanks for posting that. Haven't read it all but it is a huge upgrade from the last time I looked~

p.s. adding a little side note. A Nordstrom ad in the Indiana Statesman at Indiana State in Terre Haute seems like a bit of a marketing misnomer to me. That is hysterical. Good research on their behalf. (not)
Since I wrote that comment....I noticed that the ads rotate. That might explain that!

Bally, not sure how FBS conference realignment helps CU and WSU. If anything, it hurts non-football schools that are basketball focused.

You might be right, but there are plenty of non-football schools out there that will find new homes in these realignments. I hope you are right because they are overall, the two strongest schools in our conference and we would hate to lose them.

Yes, but they also own an unfair advantage in that respect, not to mention that CU is a private school.

New and improved Statesman

Hey THnews4u, has that website been redone recently? I had been checking out recently (mostly around homecoming) and I found the site kind of hard to navigate and disjointed. This format rocks. It looks great and I will add it to my bookmarks now.

Yes - the print and online versions of the Statesman have been significantly overhauled. Glad you like it.

In the recent past,
there were issues after football wins where there was no mention of the team.
I am a former editor-in-chief of the Statesman so I am glad to see the change. Good work.
