They literally play Friday afternoon at IU East before having to turnaround and play us at 1pm the next day. This game should be very, very ugly.

They did open their season by beating Missouri Valley, 70-68.

While this should be an easy win, we saw Missouri State down by 1 at halftime to a non-D1 team, so nothing can be taken for granted. Take care of business Saturday, then let's head over to Columbus and plant a flag at mid-court

Yep, get it done just before it becomes a felonious act.

Lindenwood beat this team 98-30. Should be a great opportunity to give the end of our bench some extended run.

I understand how difficult it is to schedule, especially as a decent mid-major, but yuck. 🤮

As I look at schedules around the country most every team has a game of this caliber and some more than one on their slate. Gottlieb at Green Bay got his jock rocked by a so-called lesser opponent that he had verbally ridiculed in a presser before the game. losing 72-70 to "Michigan Tech".

I'm personally okay with a bunny or two on our schedule, especially if/when we get more home games. Life of a mid major. Gonna view it as fan enjoyment, player & coach development, & a team confidence booster.

Also, I like the timing, wedged in-between a very physical Murray and Ohio State.

While I agree to never overlook anyone, one caveat to this comparison is MTU is D2 and UHSP is NAIA IIRC.

Graves said on radio show we did this as a favor to the head coach because he personally opens and allows us to use their gym when in St Louis to practice (when not at Enterprise Center)
Damn. the $LU faithful are really are going to struggle next year when the billikens come to Human Center and they find out Graves is doing Schertz a favor for letting us use chaifetz when we are in town

You are correct wrt UHSP... if they are NOT, then they are USCAA...

pretty sure they recruit the players AFTER they've enrolled in classes

Hell.... they only have 725 students (Undergrad AND Grad combined...)

I doubt many of their kids are recruited...

I mean does "hey, come be the Next Great Eutectic?! Get YOU to come hoop for UHSP?!?!

Thinking bout a potential red shirt for Merritt Alderink. He can only appear in 3 more games and qualify for a red shirt if my math is correct. Think it’s something you have to consider if he is on board.

No basketball is not football. Once you play you burn your redshirt.
