Was on campus today for 2 hours, volunteering for an organization. Saw the Prez & his wife working hard: greeting parents, supporting students volunteering to help with freshman move-in day, & helping in general.

Great to see an actively involved Prez team. Glad BOT picked Godard. Great leadership displayed today.

Have heard that freshman enrollment is up and that freshman to sophomore retention was the best in the history of the school.

Amazing what happens when you have a President that is showing up at every event on campus, athletic practices, band practices, community events - the guy is everywhere flying the flag.

I played in the ISU President's Scholars Golf outing today. Had a great time and won some amazing swag. Morale is soooo much higher both within ISU and externally with donors. Goddard gets it. The damage Curtis, Clink, certain former BOT members, and a certain recently-retired administrator did to ISU is so, so sad. Things are looking up now that those toxic people are gone.

For anyone that doesn't know, the outing is now a big deal. $2500 to get your foursome in and it sells out. I'm an 11.1 index and when I went to the range to warm up I was between two golfers that each played in the U.S. Open....one of whom made the cut.

I don’t know the exact number but I do know that while it is large for post covid it is not above 2000 so I’d probably guess somewhere between 1500 and 1900

Total undergraduate enrollment for fall 2025 is 6,352
Class of 2029 stats:
48.9% are first-generation college students.
51.1% are Pell-eligible.
17.7% are 21st Century Scholars.
415 new Honors College students.

6,352 is that just undergrad enrollment?

But amazing how little the enrollment is compared to a decade ago. don’t know what capacity or ideal numbers look like from a campus perspective, but I gotta imagine ISU wants to at least be in the 12,000 undergraduate range.

undergraduate is 6,352
They haven’t published the graduate numbers that I have seen but they said there was a small decline which they expected

I hope I am wrong but I don't think we'll ever see 12,000 full time undergrads at ISU again in any of our lifetimes. Too many things have changed systemically, demographically, and economically....much of which was out of ISU's control (but some that was not).

It will take a few years to see what really happens with enrollment numbers. But very promising signs from the new president. 2% increase at the start of the enrollment cliff. Will be interested in the other Midwest college numbers.

I would also like to say that Mayor Sakbun and the city have been doing a fantastic job in supporting the university and community.

It’s not in here yet and I know some people asked: total headcount for fall 2025 is 7,864 last fall it was 7,865
Undergraduate total is 6,352
so graduate enrollment is probably around 1,500 give or take
