Understand… Graves has everything right where he wants it for STL. Harding going to average a double double - we are going to all be watching selection Sunday together and figuring out who we play. It’s inevitable.
That would be some of the funniest shit....Schertz couldn't get us there, but then Graves takes this broke ass team to the NCAA's in year one.....that would be comical.
I watched the game, and frankly there was nothing worth taking about tonight. One of the more forgettable games we’ll play all year. We were never really in it, and it’s clear UNI may be the worst matchup for us in this conference. They’re the only team we’ve played so far where I have never thought we had a chance. Maybe Belmont is in that category too, but UNI is firmly at the top of that list right now.

Completely new team, new coach and starting the process of all of that much later than other teams. This year even a fantastic regular season would at best get us a CBI bid. Coming off last season where the regular season meant something and had a shot at an at-large. This regular season was always going to be about doing all we could to figure out the lineup and hopefully be in some place where we can win 4 games in 4 days in STL. Most likely, barring an incredible turnaround from MSU/Valpo and a wild collapse by us, we're going to be in the 7-10 or 8-9 game. That's honestly right where I figured we would be coming into the season, if not a little better. If 1-2 of the OT games go our way we're in the conversation for the 4 seed, and we're still not dead for the 5-6 seed even with those losses.
If we're in year 3 and talking about "well at best we can hope to make a run at Arch Madness" before the season starts then yeah...something has gone terribly wrong with the program/coach/NIL, but this year was absolutely the year for that.

No it’s not just you - that was really the only approach and he got out ahead of this.
You would just hope we would actually be trending in the right direction and you would hope that he himself who makes those proclamations wouldn’t keep rolling Harding out on the floor. I’m tired of it - that guy doesn’t give us the best chance to win. No chance Vorst can be any worse than him. What is he giving us that Vorst can’t - rhetorical, the answer is nothing.
I’ve given Graves plenty of credit for things this year - but the Harding thing is beyond perplexing. I can’t believe how bad he’s been.
He, no doubt, has extreme talent. His passing reminds me of Braden Smith. His driving skills are the best.
