Making the case why a 5th Seed wouldn't be a death sentence...

If we were to end up being the 5th seed, we'd play Thursday at 2:30 against UE......a game we should win. We could play a lot of guys.....let a lot of guys get a feel for the floor without wearing them out.....and after a win.....we wouldn't play again until 2:30 on Friday.....we'd have a full 22 hours of recovery time....then we come in with a game under our belt (getting a good feel for the rims) against probably, Belmont, who'd be making their Arch Madness debut.

A 5th seed might not be a bad spot...unlike other teams in the Valley, our team is built to play a 4 game tourney with the depth we have....and given how bad UE is for an opener (although they are playing slightly better recently)...it'd be like getting in a "live" practice run.....without wearing our guys out.

Just trying to shine some positivity on something we dont want to happen.

I agree. I think a "warm up" game might be beneficial. After that, we have to beat the best to win anyway.

This is why it was more important for BU to beat Bradley this past Sunday. The focus is on finishing in the top 4 and no so worried about a less than 5 percent chance of 1st by ourselves.

Kent will certainly have to set up and play a big role for us to win this game, but from a defensive standpoint on Sheppard, I wouldn’t just rely on Kent. Throw the kitchen sink at him…little Larry, Kent, Voss and maybe even Hobbs. If Hobbs struggles defensively, you’re obviously hoping he sinks a few long balls.

I hate not having Cam, but this team has shown the ability to step up when they are down key guys. I hope that happens Wednesday as well. It will certainly be a challenge but my money is on us rising to the occasion. Not saying that means we win, but that we will give them all they could want and more even down our top playmaker.

Mmmmm. Conflicted. I was pretty confident we would go in and win this game with Cam healthy. My heart still feels that way but my gut doesn’t feel that way.

As has basically already been said puts a lot on the shoulders of Bledson and Kent and how they respond.

But F it I’m not really in the mood to pick against this Sycamore team… Haven’t really all year as they haven’t given me much of a reason to.

76-73 Trees.

In Schertz 2 years in Terre Haute we've had more players "step up to the plate" than haven't, I hope it continues. Cam is a big loss, The guy does a little bit of everything for us. Kent and Bledson need to step up with the defense and assists Cam provides, Hobbs knocks down a couple triples and we will be fine.
