I can’t say enough about Camp Wagner though. He has been really good and seems to have improved his defense and rebounding - the effort is noticeable. The ability on that end is sorta suspect but he’s putting in the work.
Camp is definitely a kid you can ride or die with because you know at the end of the day he is going to give you everything he has

He’s been steady. Like at the end of the day - you’re in an absolute dog fight without him tonight. He’s really embraced his role on this team and is playing with confidence you love to see it. If I’m happy with anything this season it’s him, JD and Gray. All 3 of those dudes have given me everything I could have hoped for and then some.

While we are giving out props, I think Gray has been really good the last month or so of the season. Rebounding, mostly solid defense and just playing hard. Happy to see him play well and contribute to some Ws. I had high hopes for him last year, but he never was able to play his way into the rotation.

On a side not of this game. I'm typically a fan of 2 colorful uniforms in a match-up but our baby blues vs valpo yellow just is not it. Felt like i was watching a "G" rated movie found in a community church's nursery.

Graves got in his ass pretty good for what appeared to be a botched offensive set or poor spacing in the first half - he was right to and it worked. BUT in the process Graves seemed to miss KD on some absolutely horrendous perimeter defense unless he got lit up in the huddle and we didn’t see it?!

I will say KD shot really well in the second half and also had some pretty good finds. This team can not afford lapses. Guys need to be locked and loaded at all times. We ain’t good enough for missed assignments - especially on the first two possessions of the game I mean come onnnn.

How do we feel about the starting 5 so far? I think we roll with this 5. (Not a fan of Harding but I like JD as the 6th man)

I like going with the 4 seniors. Smart move, so far.

Agree with most about Vorst for Harding, but not changing, so I'm going with it. Hope Vorst stays healthy & has a great off-season.

Shout out to Jayan Walker. He stopped All Wright twice in a row, & caused him to turn it over once. In his limited minutes, seemed like our most capable defender to guard him.

Yeah, it took him a while, but he’s got it dialed in as good as it’s gonna be. I don’t know why he decided it or who finally told him. I’m sure he read my posts 🤣🤣 but shortening his bench had to happen. It’s helped these guys needed some continuity they needed to be able to play through some mistakes. He finally let that happen. You’ve gotta bring somebody off the bench so JD is a perfect fit for that spot. You have what you have in Harding, which isn’t much but oh well.

He’s using both Walker and LeGree in really good spots right now - limited but it’s LeGree to give Teel a blow makes sense or it’s Walker for defensive purposes over Camp. Makes complete sense.

Don’t overplay them or the play themselves into mistakes.

Good point. Forgot that Legree gave Teel a solid break in the 2nd half. Didn't try to do too much (no turnovers), played solid.

As much as he drives me crazy I feel like Harding did a decent job Schweiger in the post. I’d love to know when he scored who gave up the points.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's basketball is taking a three-game win streak on its swing trip to Iowa after defeating Valparaiso on Wednesday night inside Hulman Center, 80-62. Indiana State improved to 12-12, 6-7 MVC while Valpo fell to 10-14, 3-10 MVC.

It was less than three hours until tip-off and I had to wonder...

Will it be another OT game vs Valpo? Thank goodness, no.
Will this be our 3rd win in a row? Confirmed.
Or will we be face-palming ourselves after this one? Not today.
Camp is 9 of his last 13 from 3pt...does he have it in him to keep up the good work? He does!
Can we get 20+ pts out of Samage? No sir, but 9 assists.
How about another double-double out of Mr. Gray? 13 and 7.
Valpo had three 20+ scorers against us in the first meeting, will they do it again? Wright with 32. Schwieger with 17.
We shot 40.7% from 3pt as a team vs UIC, can we do it a second time in a row? 42.9%
Are we an offensive-rebounding team now? No. But 8-7 in our favor.
Should I have a bad feeling that Justus McNair might have a big game against us? Zero points.
Could Bruno Alocen get his first block of the season? Zero blocks.
Which of our low-PT guys will have the most PT in this one? Walker with 11 minutes.

I feel like Walker never really plays much, yet when he's in there, he plays well. I thought he played well last night. Not sure why the quality minutes he gives us doesn't end up in more pt.

Less is more sometimes…
100%. That's the case for our freshman this season. Quality players that will be good eventually and have their moments this season but you stick them in there too long and it's a negative for all parties. Get them spot minutes and in certain situations and they are a + for us. If you want them scoring double figures and being a focal point it's not going to be pretty. LeGree is a perfect example of this.

Graves is excited about the "mini retreat" to Iowa this week. Id imagine this guy honeymooned in Muncie and is saving up money for a two week all-inclusive to Mammoth Cave this summer 😂

why tour Mammoth... the state would prefer he spend money at Squire Boone Caverns, Marengo... hell, even Wyandotte...
