"As the ISU staff looks to rebuild the current team, they are looking for roster balance. Graves wants to recruit high school players as well as one-year players. He doesn’t want to replace eight or nine players every season.

Graves says the next three weeks are an important recruiting period. He hopes to sign four to six players during that time span. The ‘free-agent’ market is ever-changing and Graves says each signing has a trickle down effect. While he needs a build the lion share of the roster, he’s not going to rush the process and make bad decisions."

Yeah, I’ve become less of a fan of Harry lately, and that Kent tweet has been part of it.

Graves doesn’t go into a lot of specifics about potential transfers…cuz you know, you really can’t until a guy has officially transferred…but he does just how he and his staff are in all-hands-on-deck mode and are in contact with a lot of student athletes. Just encouraging to hear stuff from the horse’s mouth.

The interview is more than 30 min long. You could listen to it and just skip past every time Harry starts talking ;)

Haven't checked the bench personnel rules in a while.....will JO be on the bench during games in this role?

Yep. The NCAA changed it a couple years back (I think) where they gave school 2 more assistants. The only difference is the top 3 can go on the road to recruit where the other 2 cannot.

Why haven't the other assistant coaches (Odum, Johnson) been announced officially? They're not listed on gosycamores website either.
 
Because they are not employed by the university yet.

That's not meant to be a snarky answer, it's simply the reality of why they haven't been announced.

Yep, just timing. They've got to work with their current school, then work with State, and then I believe there are even NCAA HQ things that have to be handled before they can be announced. I know our contracts run April 1 through March 31st but no clue if other schools follow the same.

Johnson is still listed on Furman's basketball coaches page.

Odum has now updated his Twitter bio to reference that he is an Indiana State coach but he is still listed on Coffeyville's website.

I know there is a BOT meeting on May 10th, too. Hopefully things will be finalized then.
