I don't think any of us expect the team to be national title contenders, but having a competitive team shouldn't be too much to ask for. If you've watched (apparently you haven't) ISU football the past several years then there's no possible way you could give Mallory a pass for what's going on.

As for the 10 years ago nonsense. Maybe you've forgotten, but 10 years ago we beat Ball State and won a playoff game in the strongest year the MVFC has ever had. The worst day for ISU football recently was March 28, 2022 when Clinkscales gave Mallory an extension. Since that extension the program has gone 4-22. Mallory won 5 games during the 2021 season, so if you don't think this program is going backwards and you're not willing to point fingers at this coach then your head is just in the sand.
In 2022 they hired a first time offensive coordinator and have only averaged 15 points. You will probably only win 4 games scoring 15 points in today’s fast paced football play.

That is why his insistence to run the ball with the line we have just gets 4th and punt. Like Jason says, we need to recruit a line beyond our means. The way they spread the ball around with Eastern was very effective with the exception of the turnovers.

It seems like we never throw the ball down field on first down or even second down for that matter. We either run the ball or throw it to the sides, but rarely do we ever attempt to throw it downfield on those downs. Then it leaves us in a bad spot on third downs. The offense is just way too conservative and too predictable.

I actually took my mother to the game with me on Saturday and she literally knows nothing about football. Even she started to ask me why ISU kept trying the same stuff over and over again. I know it's really bad when even my mother starts to notice that something isn't right with our offense.

Your mom already knows more about football than you and your dad…

😆😂🤣 I couldn’t help it. That was a layup.
