I don't know anything about UNC Charlotte basketball, but after last night's dud of a performance, I'm grateful we at least still have some football to look forward to on Saturday. I went to the EIU-ILSU game earlier this season in Charleston and I was less than impressed with the Jailbirds. At least in that game they were totally undisciplined, and if EIU wasn't so pathetic themselves the Panthers would have won the game. I'm thinking we have a good shot at pulling off another upset against another ranked school.

I sure hope we have something left in the tank after beating The Jacks! This team is absolutely capable of beating ISU Red. They have to keep up the momentum and execute like they did last Saturday. Can’t let the game get out of hand early!
 
We've looked pretty pathetic so far. Stopped them on 4th, then did nothing on offense, let them score a TD, and then did nothing on offense again. Jailbirds already with their first after the play personal foul. Hopefully they keep that up.

We let them score a TD and then we went for it on 4th&1 from our own 40. Picked it up and then hit them with a deep ball to Rochelle to tie it back up. 14-14 with 10:52 left in the second qtr
 
Our defense is just bad today. Our play calling is also just weird. Trying too much stupid stuff when it's unnecessary, but won't try it when we're down 3 scores. If we can keep it to one possession game at half and our defense picks it up this is a very winnable game imo.
 
ISU Red in converting 75% of 3rd downs. TOP favors ISU Red big time. Our defense is going to wear down if we don’t get long drives. Like the play calling, but we have to do better controlling the LOS.

I think we're worse than usual honestly. We're making IL State look like Montana and they just aren't that good. I'm not sure we'd beat Murray State today. We're just totally unprepared, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Too much celebrating the big SDSU win this week I think, and not enough taking IL State seriously.
