ISU won at Murray State last year, but they seem to be an improved team this year, at least at home, they, like ISU, struggle on the road. So let's hope ISU can pick up it's 1st win of the season. Losing to an OVC team is never good, but certainly not as bad as losing to a Mid-Con team (as WSU and Bradley have both done in losing to UMKC).

Murray features former Creighton player Isaac Miles on it's roster and he's been playing.

I'll be at the game again, here's to a Sycamore win.

here is a pretty good preview from a Murray State fan:

anyone else worried about this game tonight? I am, a little. ISU has got to rebound and play good perimeter D, if they do that I think we'll see a win.

Not looking for a big crowd either but we'll be there nonetheless.

ISU is the only MVC team w/o a win, so here's to hoping they end that tonight.

Only team without a win....................don't make it sound so bad............we've only played two games. Most of the Valley teams have played more than two and some have some bad losses ie. Creighton last nite @ Ark.-Little Rock, both Wichita & Bradley to UMKC (Wichita @ home) & Bradley on a neutral court.

If we do a better job on perimeter defense I think we can sneak out with a win.
Students are on Thanksgiving Break, so expect an empty student section.

I would hold off on your contention that the Creighton loss at UALR was a bad loss...it was a loss that should have been avoided but I'm not so certain yet, that it was a bad loss. UALR is a good team...CU's first game on the road. This could be a big wake up call for the Jays.

That's just my 2 cents...CU is loaded w/ talent...scary good talent.

Basically burned ourselves with terrible shot selection, let them run all over us. They beat us down the floor on a regular basis. Officiating was questionable at best in the last 8 minutes. Murray State just racked up free throws without any shot attempts during that time. I was waiting for the hot dog....:censored:

Arkansas-Little Rock will be considered a bad loss when lobbying for an at-large bid if Creighton fails to perform at ArchMadness? I hate to quote another team's MVC fan but more or less "when the overwhelming Valley favorite loses to an AR-LR it is not a good thing". This will most likely be the year when CU wins the conference title, stumbles at ArchMadness, and the only bid, based on early season returns from most every team in the Valley so far, will be to a one-hit wonder (like Evansville or Bradley?) who got hot in the conference tourney. One & done & on to the next hopeful season?

I was at the game too, and I really can't disagree with anything Golden said in his blog and Trib Star article. ISU just seems confused on offense, can't seem to rebound, and is lacking a true leader, i.e., a Gabe Moore type player, who can take over a game. They desperately need Marshall back, Dec. can't get here soon enough for this team. I just hope we're not looking at a repeat of the 2001-2002 season where they won like 6 games the entire year. That would NOT be good at all.

That said, I really think there is a TON of talent on this team, it's just disorganized at this time. I hope by MVC time they're all on the same page offensively and defensively and can make some noise.

The Depaul game Sat. will probably be pretty ugly. I'll be on my way home and plan to stop in to see this game, my 3rd ISU game of the week, so far I'm 0-2, so maybe the 3rd time is a charm?? I know nothing about Depaul this year, but any win over a Big East team on the road is a good thing.

Maybe Carl and Isaah will play especially good since this game is right in their backyard. Hopefully they'll have alot of fans there rooting them on.

Gonna be a rough season, but thankfully it's early. We shouldn't give up yet.
