well, this "should" be a win for ISU, but we can't say for sure yet. NIU was blown out by SIU last night. NIU did not score a single point until after 10 minutes had passed in the 1st half. SIU's defense is pretty good, so when ISU plays SIU it will be similar to Butler's D.

NIU is 0-4 now. Hopefully ISU's shooting woes will go away Tuesday night at home.

It will be another loss if the poor shooting continues and they don't give up the threes for something that works. Does anyone know if the game is being televised? I've checked the listings and don't see anything. I'm guessing not.

hopefully ISU puts a beatdown on NIU like they did to the ISU FB team in 2006, but then again everyone put a beatdown on the ISU FB team in 06, ex. missery state.

game getting ready to start.

hey, off to a good start, 11-3 ISU, hitting some 3's too!

ISU seems inspired, and wanting to win.

28-18 ISU, hey, they've already hit more 3's as they did at North Texas, woo hoo!

9 ISU turnovers are killing them!

32-29 ISU, boy, that 12 point lead didn't last long, geesh. Not a good way to end the 1st half. 1:20 to go.

55-45 ISU now, need to sustain and build on this lead. Stinson shooting well, team doing much better from 3 point range and cutting down on the turnovers this half.

Sorry you were flying solo ISUCC...I was watching but not posting as I had the full screen going for the webcast. Just a little bit better last night. Seeing some glimpses of what could be...seems like they need to address defending, freethrow shooting and taking care of the rock. I've never seen so many carries called in a game ever...ridiculous. Three straight possessions, two by NIU and one by ISU were ended w/ carry calls. I realize they want to stress that early in the season but let's face it, you could probably call a carry on almost every possession...that doesn't mean you actually should call carry on every possession.

Good to see a balanced contribution from the team...wondering where Lamar Lee was last night. Not sure if it's injury related or what...

I think that they were just tightening up the rotation. I think Cole's ability to bring offense off of the bench is a good thing, and he still has to find his stride on the defensive end. I was very pleased with the game overall but the key things that need to be addressed are

1. Free Throw Shooting
2. Turnovers
3. Defense

It is just amazing to watch the progress every game out. Isiah just simply gets better and better every game. A.C. is rounding back into form after the ankle injury, and Harry might be our most consistant player to this point. Jay is rebounding better than ever, but must stay out of foul trouble, and find his touch at the offensive end. Mick came in for a very short stretch, but did contribute in his short time. I have never seen someone get fouled as much as Arnold does around the basket on offense with no call, it is no wonder he gets at least 2 fouls in frustration each game. If Gabe can play this well the rest of the year good things are to come. That was the most complete game of his career that I can think of to this point. Rico is finding his stroke and is getting more aggressive on defense, he is also looking to pass more on his drives which led to a couple of nice buckets. Todd just comes off the bench and helps keep guys moving and really goes after rebounds hard at the defensive end, and it is always nice to get a dunk every once in a while in transition.

Let's keep it going Saturday against IPFW GO SYCAMRES!:sycamores:

I don't think Jay got any rebounds last night, did he? Mick was more productive in 3 minutes. We need Jay to explode! It would mean so much for us.

After looking at the stats, I can't believe Jay did not get a rebound. I do think watching him play this season, he is putting more emphasis on rebounding. Also after knocking knees while taking a charge, he seemed to be laboring the rest of the game.
