Last season i went hard. Like my wife was worried about me. I knew it was the "golden days" before it ended, i have no regrets.

I was so scared we'd be another Missouri State. Missouri State won the conference title in 2011, made the finals and lost (hell yeah!). They were packing their arena and had a ton of momentum. They have done absolutely NOTHING for 15 years after that moment. I'm so scared that is us right now.

Remember some of that talk on here going into Bradley about how a top 4 finish was within reach to avoid Thursday, just go 4-0, or maybe 3-1, or at least split the next 4. Yeah that was awesome.

False front, beating MoState on the road turned out to be not impressive. Murray St caught us at the wrong time and we caught them at the right time. Evansville is dreadful - so yeah the 3-1 Valley start turned out to be very fraudulent. Shoulda seen it coming…

Can someone please explain to me how Alocen is still starting and getting 25 min a game? He is the Tony Snell of college basketball. I have never seen anyone play as many minutes and produce so little stats. It’s like he is out there doing cardio.

Maybe Spain is paying us to play him.

Well like it’s been said all season who else is coming in. Not 1 person has stepped up to take those minutes. Even Graves said it at 1 point that there have been opportunities for guys to step and take spots and nobody has really done that. I mean we thought Summers might do something but here we are on his 3rd/4th DNP.

It's the same old dance. The good thing fans are showing up. the last 2 Saturdays attendance was over 5,000. If we had a decent team and a winning record we probably would have 7-8,000.
Its really frustrating, every once in a while I watch those videos on you tube with our great NIT run beating SMU, Minnesota, and Cincy, all at Hulmman Center, and the crowd going crazy and wild, and the energy in the building.! Oh well I said my peace, this is turning into a long, long season. Pack your bags for a Thursday game .

Good time to get on the phone & schedule some decent name teams for home games next season. The home-court mystique has flown the coop from the HC.

The only "power" conference team or decent-named team that could move the ticket sale needle I see ever coming to Terre Haute in the near future is Butler if Matta decides to do Graves a favor.

It was the day before game day, we were in the midst of our worst losing streak since the five games dating from 1/11/23-1/24/23, and I had to wonder...

Could history repeat itself and we end our 5-game losing streak vs UNI at home just like in 2023? No.
Is it kinda weird/interesting that our last 5-game losing streak occurred during very similar dates in January and UNI was the game that could snap us out of it? Meh, it woulda been had we won.
Will I be wondering about the last time we had a 6-game losing streak before our next game on Wednesday? Yes.
Who's gonna step up and lead this team to victory tomorrow? No one.
Will our fans continue to show up even with this funk that we're currently in? They are. God bless them.
By shooting 37.1% from three last game, are we on our way to climbing out of our 3pt shooting funk? No.
By shooting 66.7% from FT last game, are we still considered to be in a FT shooting funk? Kinda.
Did you know that JD currently leads the MVC in FG% at 61.3%? Yay.
JD is three of his last three from three, should he keep shooting the three (when wide open)? Couldn't hurt.
Will Josiah get another start? Yes.
Will Aaron Gray keep up his seemingly improved play? Zero turnovers.
How about that Turnover elephant in the room that refuses to go away? 14 turnovers.
I'd ask about UNI players but I'm afraid to look at their stats and see who could go off on us. They are balanced.

I see this team giving MOST its only conference win the rest of the way. Just a disasterclass.
I hope not! MO State and Valpo are the only two games I'll be attending until St Louis. So far this season I've only made it to the SIUE game that we of course lost.

UNI had 6 players on the roster that have been redshirts. Now, several didn't play, but I think there is an expectation that a redshirt player will play eventually.

In this day, that is a remarkable statement about the commitment the UNI players have to the coach and the program.

It seems UNI is not evolving. They played the same dense in the lane defense trapping down off of perimeter players to get multiple steals. When they get a quality big man or two they become a smoothly running, patient offensive machine.

I guess in many ways, UNI and Drake are mirroring each other.

I don't like losing to UNI, but I do enjoy watching them play when the team has the talent to fit the style.
I thought when Anderson got two quick fouls it would really disrupt its execution; however, that didn't happen.

The first 4 minutes were critical as ISU got down 8. Over the next four 4 minute segments, UNI only outscored ISU by one point each segment to lead by 12 at the half.
