McKenna on Sycamore's Progress

Little Eddie

The All-MVC Level
I thought the same...slightly different situations but same sentiments. Coach McKenna has to teach everything to his players, Altman has tons of new players so he's gotta do the same. It's a tough offense to grasp. They're telling the truth about being out of place in the offense...all it takes is one guy to screw it up and the whole thing gets screwed up. That's why you didn't see Bryce Nengsu on the floor very often for the Jays despite being a physical specimen...he was forever in the wrong place which caused breakdowns and usually led to poor shot selection.

I think the thing that hit home for me the most was the "getting through the practice" quote...it's gotta be tough not to approach it that way and even tougher to teach against it.
