well crap, the girls dropped the baton between the 2nd to 3rd exchange! Bad start to the meet.

and go figure, 2 more teams drop the baton in heat 2, making it all the more frustrating as the girls could have made the final. Shoot!

Katie will not advance to the final in the 100, she placed 4th in heat 2 in 11.36. Heat 1 had a wind over the limit so they had an advantage over heat 2 and heat 3. Bummer once again. She was 14th overall, 2nd team all american

Katie will run again in the 200 trials tomorrow afternoon. Her meet is not over.

Senior Max Tuttle ends his ISU career with a 19th place finish in the men's 400 meter hurdles, running 51.81

John Mascari ended 11th in 29:30.76 on a very hot night in Oregon. VERY gutty race from John tonight! 2nd team all american for John!

More Sycamores in action tomorrow!

Thursday events for ISU

5:00pm Mary Theisen - women's discus throw

7:15pm Katie Wise - 200 meter dash

8:05pm Greggmar Swift - men's 110 meter high hurdles

See you then!

Katie Wise on NOW! 200

Mary Theisen, in her 1st event, the discus, placed 16th and did not make the final, she threw 161-07, 2nd team all american. I know she has thrown further than that this season. So I am sure she is disappointed.

Katie had a GREAT start in the 200, but at about 130 meters started to fade and placed 15th, in 23.64, so her meet is over for now. She will be 2nd team all american in the 200. Tough meet for Katie and the ISU women so far, but that's ok, they're champions who qualified for the NCAA championship meet, a very good accomplishment, and nearly all are back next year.

Washington places 5th in heat 2 and will not advance, his stellar season has come to an end also. 14.14 was his time. He earns honorable mention all american as a sophomore!
