He actually was the #2 QB on Louisville’s roster. I might of thought he will finally get his shot, but they went in the portal and picked up 2 QB’s. If the other guys stay, then we’ll have plenty of depth. If you read between the lines of this signing and a couple of wide receivers, Mallory might just realize it’s time to open up the passing game. That will open up the run game.
The word you're looking for is "platooned," as in Allen and Adams platooned in the B/U QB role for Louisville...
Adams appeared in more games, had more completions, attempts, yardage.
Allen had more TDs and INTs.
They were nearly equal in QBR for the year.
