Nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory tonight, but a 9-7 ISU win nonetheless.

I thought Valpo was going to help us out leading 3-2 at Missouri State, but gave up a walk off HR

Arch is going to really go hard after pitching help this summer.

sycamores don’t have enough pitchers that can throw strikes.

How about a RF/DH that isn’t hitting .065 and starting
 
Even with our loss, our RPI improved to 148 (from the 150s). Yes, I still pay attention to the RPI. And at one time, we were deep into the 200s.

SIU’s offense is potent to say the least. If we can somehow pull out a win tomorrow and take the series, it’ll be a very nice accomplishment vs the top-RPI team in the Valley (SIU is 96).

Standings, a rather large sausage fest in the middle of the conference at moment. But we still have a chance; along with a handful of of others. https://www.warrennolan.com/baseball/2025/conference/Missouri-Valley

Dropping the series to Belmont and losing 1 to Valpo is the difference right now. Missouri State is essentially +2 on us right now as they went 2-1 vs Belmont and 3-0 against Valpo (that walkoff they had in game 1 was HUGE). Missouri State still has to play Murray, Illinois State, Indiana State along with UIC and Evansville, so not exactly the easiest way to end the conference season. Illinois State has put themselves in a good position as well.

The MVC tournament should be a lot of fun as about 5-6 schools could easily win it.

Also, I thought Evansville ran this conference?
 
While it would be awesome to go on a run and win the conference; finishing top 4 is what you want to put yourself in position for the tournament

It was a little tongue in cheek comment. Judging by their fanbase last season you would have thought Wes Carroll was the greatest coach of all-time and they ran the conference. It was kind of bizarre

Sycamores up 7-3 in top of ninth at IU. If they hold on to win, it’ll be the best $12 I ever spent to have BTN+ for last week’s Purdue game and tonight’s game.
