The site itself works great (reading the board, etc) until I log in, and then after that it's like using dial up. Been like that few 3 or 4 days now. Anyone else having issues after logging in?

For the record literally every other web site I get on and message board I'm apart of works great. Not sure what the deal is, but I can see others are posting and haven't seen any complaints.

Thanks.

Are you getting any specific error messages? If so, DM me a screenshot.

Also, can you open a command prompt and type "ping sycamorepride.com" and shoot me the results? That should tell me if it is a network latency issue. Enter the command without the quotes.

I'll check your IP against our caching service -- Cloudflare to see if it was flagged for any reason. Is this a home connection, mobile connection, hotspot, etc. I know you said you travel a bunch.

There was an AT&T Mobile address that was routing through Texas that was flagged in our caching service. I just cleared that in case that was you.

SF96 spending too much time on ISU's football message board "the only fan"
Let's face it, I'm the only one dumb enough to care at this point. The team is pathetic and we all know they're going to go 0-11 this season; I'm just the only one willing to torture myself with it.

Probably the most realistic, understandable, relatable, coherent thing you’ve had to say on this topic. Sincerely - not a jab. Your support while misplaced is commendable.

Just read and listen with an open mind. No one is talking @ you. Everyone here loves Indiana State athletics & hate this situation. No one wanted it to come to this. The day they finally get rid of this program will not be a victory for anyone. But it will be a day that Indiana State finally accepts defeat & can start planning a different course for athletics. That’s super important in this day and age.

Oh, I'm still suffering through all of the beatings.

Here is some additional food for thought for you. Knowing we have about 100 on the roster on a given year, there are likely 2,000-3,000 living football alumni right now. We wouldn't even be having this discussion if the majority of that group donated $500-1,000 a year. Between their donations and a money game, you could then potentially use the other funds to go basketball, baseball, etc. and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It would also likely unlock the ability for the school to use bond debt service to build a stadium since they wouldn't have to be subsidizing the program so heavily on a yearly basis. This truly just comes down to opportunity cost of how money has to be allocated.

I give you props. throughout the mid-2010s I would follow along pretty closely as well. But it was an exciting time; great individual talent led to good seasons and wins over Ball State, North Dakota State, Western Kentucky, Liberty, and competitive losses to IU and Purdue (we probably should have beat both teams). Those days are long in the rear view, the landscape has changed and the fact we couldn't double down on that era and turn it into more success tells me all I need to know about the state of the program. At the end of the day we can dump every resource into football and its still an FCS program few care about, in a non-football town, that might average 6k in arguably the worst stadium in D1. Again I give you credit, its not an easy thing to do, but like any relationship, you can only give so much without anything in return.

Those were exciting times. That ball state game was maybe the best time I've ever had at a game. We sat right in the middle of their student section and talked smack.
