It's sad news to hear since I expected Stinson to greatly improve in his junior and senior seasons, but it always seemed he never quite reached that level of success we all hoped for. Much like Holstrom he didn't quite live up to the potential we saw early on. Maybe under Royce they would have thrived, but fortunately we moved in a new direction because the team wasn't improving. Now it's on McKenna to do better with his guys. I think Stinson and Cole came in a little too late to get a firm chance to change things, but Waltman had his run.
I read on Salukitalk that Stinson is transferring to a D-II school, anyone hear about this? I remember he was at the Murray St. game as a spectator I think.

Stinson had been to every home game up to the Depaw game... I know that for a fact I had "people" looking out for him!
When he scored 45 or whatever against Drake his Freshman year that was the single greatest performance I have ever seen in the Hulman Center since Menser went wild late against IU. But Stinson put a complete game together that night! Simply Amazing!
Great night. I remember that. Sad to see Rico gone. I really am. Has a lot of talent. We still have talent, we just need the drive now. We need strong-motivated kids out there who wanna play and who will stick around and stay out of trouble.
I posted a thread about the lack of energy. It sounds like we need a really strong player to lead these guys and make them better. You know, like another Larry Bird. I don't know why that's too much to ask.
