I think it would take a small miracle to win this game, but I do think we have the ability to make it somewhat competitive (lose by 2 scores or less). SIU has not scored more than 10 points in 4 of their last 6 contests, so their offense is hardly impressive. The two times they scored more than that they were playing Murray State (27) and Western Illinois (63). Their defense has honestly carried them the last half of the season.

SIU is in a must win situation here (6-4 currently). If they win they should be a safe at-large choice in the playoffs. If they lose then they are done. I remember in 2011 when we were in the same exact situation against SIU on our senior day and they beat us by 7. It would be extra sweet to repay them 12 seasons later, but unfortunately that probably isn't too likely to happen.

I’m watching come Hell Or High Water. Maybe we’ll throw up a game like we did against North Dakota Bro!! Go Blue!

I’m a little aggravated. Caton was about halfway to Marion IL when they tackled him on the first drive and no flag then they look like a laundry service when we have any contact at all

Ya, I couldn’t figure out what the flag was for? Receiver looked like he jumped straight up, and taken down. What was he supposed to do, hold him in the air till they blow the whistle?

Luckily I was listening to the EIU-RMU game and by the time that game was over we were already getting blown out 21-3. Been listening to the Jailbirds-UND game instead. Happy our team got a win last week against WIU, but things have to change next year. No more excuses from this staff.

Where was Owens? I can't believe we ever wanted Chambers back.
He didn’t play him for some reason. Glad all those QB’s are gone next year. Chambers was a total disappointment. We controlled the ball almost a minute more than SIU. Mallory is just not the guy. Even when it’s a close game, he just can’t get over the hump to win.
Need a miracle, so Curt, please resign.

I think Chambers' problem was that he probably was never 100% this season. He missed the first three games, and then got hurt in at least a couple of other games (@UND and on HC against USD).

It would be nice if Northern Iowa could beat NDSU in Cedar Falls tonight. It's currently 7-3 NDSU in the 1st.

Holds the ball too long, and stares down his receiver the whole play. Safety sees where he is looking and and double teams the indented target. He can’t run for shit.

Thank goodness season is over. Not competitive overall in any sense of imagination. Mallory needs to pull a Deion & run them all off & bring in a new all-transfer team of men. Living in the dark ages bringing in mostly high school kids to play in the MVFC. If he didn't just get an extension (for what might I ask?) he would also be hitting the bricks.
