well, that didn't last long, ISU down 8-6 in the top of the 8th, the first game appears to be going 9.

ISU blows it in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, relief pitching not doing well for ISU this season.
A Missouri player tripled home the winning run with 2 outs.

We are playing TOUGH teams & hanging with them for the most part but we are still 1-7. Only our relief pitching seems to be suspect. Look at our scores:

how much of an effect do you think this early season brutal schedule is having on the ISU players? They've been so close, yet so far in every game except 1 or 2.

ISU loses game 3, 6-2, now 1-8. Maybe some more winnable games this week then.

We are playing well and coming up short in late innings. It appears as though the bullpen is struggling. Every team we have played this year is very good.
We have The Citadel on Wednesday and then 4 with the College of Charleston this weekend. Again, two good teams. These schools are not known in other sports but are traditionally pretty good in baseball.
