The Captain Level
Geneva -- ranked 18th in Illinois last week and 10th in the metropolitan Chicago area -- is off to a 4-0 start and, over the past weekend, won three games in a holiday tourney it hosted.

Taylor scored 26 in the team's season opening romp -- http://basketball.dailyherald.com/story/?id=253085 -- and 31 in the first tournament game, a victory over 3-1 Oswego. Whitley played only 20 minuites in that game. http://basketball.dailyherald.com/story/?id=253865

I could not find the statistics of Geneva's easy victory over Joliet Catholic in the second game of the tournament but Taylor scored 38 in championship game, to match her career high:

For the opposing coach's comment:

Meanwhile, ISU recruit Moriah Hodge scored a game-high 11 points and got eight rebounds as Cincinnati Glen Este upset Cincinnati Mason. 37-30, in Glen Este's season opener. Mason -- boasting two Division I players -- was ranked 3rd in the Cincinnati metropolitan area while Glen Este was ranked 9th.

The All-MVC Level
I don't think we should give up on this year just yet though, this team should do pretty well this season. I agree though, the next 2-3 seasons do look very good for ISU.

We will be so deep next year! I am counting the days.....and I know someone else is as well!

The Sycamore Level
Oh, I am in no way giving up this year and really expect this team to make some noise in conference play. I was just stating that next year our bench will be that much deeper...sorry if I offended anyone.
