I work on the East side.. and yeah. Casino is good tourism. Plots of land that used to be fields or woodland are now being built on or have commercial sale signs on. Cintas is getting a new building, and getting a Crew Carwash and Kwik Trip gas station sometime in the future already.Yeah that should be mentioned as well - that has had a pretty positive impact so far, especially for that east side which is going to start seeing quite a bit of development I do believe.

I will say, east side is missing a nice sit down family restaurant thats outside of the casino. Would make perfect sense for one over here.

Just checked, it’s a Quik Trip. Also a new strip mall supposed to come to east side with 4 new businesses, one being a Chipotle.Kwik Trip (Wisconsin) or Quik Trip (Oklahoma)? Believe it or not they are two different companies and there is a vast difference. I saw where Effingham just got a Quik Trip, but I absolutely love the Kwik Trips up in Wisconsin and Minnesota. They're like miniature grocery stores and they're very affordable. Some of the KT's are truck stops and they're the best truck stops in the country as far as I'm concerned.
Quik Trips are still decent and a lot of those have truck parking. We might be getting the very first one in Indiana. I've seen them starting to pop up in Illinois and Missouri the past couple of years (they're mostly in the Southern US), but I don't think they've snuck into Indiana just yet.Just checked, it’s a Quik Trip. No doubt. But-ees has everything for the travelers.Quik Trips are still decent and a lot of those have truck parking. We might be getting the very first one in Indiana. I would have been a little surprised if we were getting a "Kwik Trip" because I've never seen one outside of Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa (they're called Kwik Star in IA); but Indiana is sort of in the vicinity if they wanted to expand to other midwestern states. I can only imagine the confusion if we ever ended up with both.
I really like the Sheetz gas stations that recently just expanded into Ohio. They have some pretty good food options in there. Maybe one day we'll end up with one of those too if they decide to expand west into this state.
What Terre Haute really needs is a Buc-ees. Maybe they could stick that over on Exit 3 by Toad Hop, because there wouldn't be enough room for one at Exit 7 or 11. I probably wouldn't ever go there, but they definitely attract the crowds and tourists.
