Reida?s career is over ? Indiana State coach Jim Wiedie recently learned guard Tiffany Reida would not be continue her basketball career.

Reida underwent surgery on her back last December.

She has never been able to recover, Wiedie said.

?It?s a challenge for her to do simple things on a daily basis,? Wiedie said. ?She will finish school here on a scholarship this year. She?s hoping to get in at Purdue and finish up Pharmacy school up there.?

Reida played in 32 games as a freshman. She averaged 3.2 points and 1.1 rebounds to go with 20 assists and eight steals.

She played a career-high 19 minutes in a WNIT victory against, tallying a career-high 10 points and grabbing a career-best four rebounds.

?Tiff was such a hard-nosed player especially defensively. She had a great freshman year. She could have been a very, very good player for us. We?re losing that toughness. To have her not being able to play is very disappointing.?
