Former Indiana State pitcher Chad Dawson signed with the Chicago White Sox and has been assigned to the Bristol (Va.) White Sox of the Appalachian League. He is the fourth Sycamore in pro baseball. Shortstop Clint Barmes (Rockies) and pitchers Joe Thatcher (Padres) and Mitch Stetter (Brewers) are in the majors.
