ISU Recruit Nikki Gunning of Howell named to first team All-West Detroit Metro by the Detroit News:

Briauna Taylor, Livonia Franklin, 5-10, Sr. : The versatile Taylor can shoot, handle the ball, and plays much bigger than 5-10. She led Franklin to the Class title game, averaging 15 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. College: Grand Valley State
Tyler Hardy, Ann Arbor Huron, 5-9, Sr. : Led Huron to the regional semifinals, averaging 22.8 points. She also went over 1,000 points for her career. College: Wayne State
Nikki Gunning, Howell, 5-6, Jr. : A quick point guard who is also an all-state softball player at shortstop. She averaged 15 points and five assists. College: Indiana State.
Chelsea Davis, Plymouth Salem, 6-0, Sr. : A monster on the boards, Davis led Plymouth to the 2009 Kensington Lakes Activities Association conference title by averaging 10 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. College: Wayne State
Morgan Albert, Brighton, 5-11, Sr. : Her scoring was down this year, but coach Lason Piepho attributes that to Brighton's depth, with four or five scoring options. "She's able to handle the ball and she's so good at creating and distributing." Albert averaged 10 points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists. College: Vermont
