Anyone else getting a little concerned with how bad a few of these teams are? Southern Illinois seems to have taken a step back. Bradley...wow....losing to both IUPUI and IPFW AT HOME. Loyola can't seem to find a win.

These teams are dragging our league down in the power rankings. This could hurt us should we be on the bubble come March.

this is PRECISELY why it was so aggravating that we didn't take care of business in Alaska and win that tourney, the MVC is TERRIBLE at the bottom this year. All 4 Illinois schools are dreadful, UNI nearly lost to #351 RPI Savannah State last night! The conference SOS/RPI is not going to be very good this year

WSU is good of course, we're supposed to be good, MSU is good, Drake has played surprisingly well. And the verdict is still out on Evansville, they blew a HUGE opportunity for a great road win last night at Xavier, they pulled and "ISU" on the road and blew a 13 point 2nd half lead and lost.

so any win over the bottom 5 schools is not going to help us much. We need to sweep those 4 Illinois schools and UNI, but I am sure we won't, we'll trip up somewhere along the line.

I don't want to say they're "must win" games, but we really need to beat St. Louis, Belmont, and UMKC, IUPUI to get back in the discussion for at-large berths. And then we need to go about 13-5 or 14-4 in MVC play.

i was just thinking earlier today about how little i know about the ramblers. i've been trying to keep an eye on them but honestly havent seen one second of any of their games because they arent being televised. their record is certaintly disappointing against what i believe is the worst non-conference schedule off all 10 valley teams. With that being said, its hard for me to write them off just yet. Loyola's most lop-sided loss was by 6 points on the road. They've been in every game they've played, which is somewhat interesting. I don't know what their ceiling is this year but so far they've been nothing other than mediocre...not terrible but not too good either. I don't see the mvc being much more difficult than what they have already experienced so far. They might be right in the middle of the pack with just about everybody else in the league.

This team is in much need of improvement before we are concerned by the record of other Valley teams. If we don't get better, we may very well be in the bottom half too. Our Tulsa loss and 2 D-2 wins are not going to impress the selection committee.

Notre Dame also lost at home to North Dakota State tonight. Notre Dame barely beat Bryant the other night. They play IU this Saturday. Definitely need to beat Belmont, St. Louis.

saw the 2nd half, our win up there is becoming less and less relevant. IU will kill them when they play.

ND had no offensive rhythm. They just shot 3's all night, shot 29 total. They died by the 3 and their post defense is lacking. They have no size. Notre Dame is gonna get murdered in the ACC. Now I can see why the Joyce Center has been empty the last few times they've been on tv.
