Would prefer ceramic if possiable. Even found ones online for schools like Prairre View A&M and Delaware State..lol...We really are getting out recruited on the gnome trail!
 
during my time in Terre Haute there was a wind sock/ flag store i took my mom to whenever she visited. They would have flags for almost all schools in Indiana, Big Ten, and the popular schools across the country. One school they never had was Indiana State, and i asked why they didnt offer an ISU flag.

The owner went on about how for some reason she cant have anything ISU oriented because of something the schools has or does. I dont remember cause i quit payin attention cause the lady went on and on.

i really wish i remembered what she said, cause she talked about how you only find ISU gear at certain places and only on campus.

Huh? I'd say she didn't carry it because of demand (or lack of demand...)

As long as she was selling items with the proper merchandising agreements... she could

she told me she couldnt get them from ISU cause she wanted to sell them. she had the demand but couldnt get them. there was a reason for it but i just cant remember.

Huh -- I didn't realize State had become or had been a producer of memorabilia...

I am betting it is a licensing issue. But I could be wrong. Specific retailers have purchased the license and they are the only people that can sell it. Not saying it is right, but that is the way business has been done at ISU for decades. I would bet that will change soon...it has too.

As for a garden gnome, my suggestion. Get cement one from somewhere and paint it up. Print out the Sycamore Logo, make a stencil out of it and go to town. Heck you could make it look like it is in a bball uni. I doubt that you are going to find one.

One way to find places that have the potential to get ISU merch is to check with the MVC to see how has the license for the entire conference. I have never checked on that...but I know that the MVC licenses out all school for certain things...like the football tv tray that I have. The company purchased the MVC license and then made 5000 ISU football tv trays back with West was the coach....I talked to the company and the guy that made that decision was fired shortly thereafter....needless to say I found those trays at Big Lots..
