Around the MVC 11-14

last night, UNI won at Denver, Bradley lost 70-60 to BYU in Utah, and of course ISU won. Ball State also beat Valpo.

Creighton @ Dayton, 12:05pm CT

IUPUI @ Drake, 1:05pm CT (ISU has IUPUI at home this year)

Oakland City @ Evansville, 7:05pm CT

Tennessee-Martin @ Southern Illinois, 7:05pm CT

Creighton gives up a big lead and loses at Dayton, Drake loses to IUPUI, Evansville and SIU are easy winners.

MVC 2-2 on the day, not good enough!

Yeah, but I still love it that an Indiana school owned them in Des Moines. That can't happen often enough.

I disagree w/ this...not a big Drake fan but in order to turn the perception of the Valley around this season we can't have losses like this. Should have been a 3-1 day today. I'm definitely disappointed. I want 2 or 3 bids this season. The weaker the Valley looks the less of a chance more teams will get to have a chance at an at-large bid.

The Iowa schools, as a whole, are terrible in basketball this year. Drake losing doesn't have to mean squat if they're the worst in the MVC. Iowans don't think Hoosiers know how to play football. Okay, Iowans don't know how to play basketball (Printy being the exception of course).

Iowa can't play basketball or baseball? Although Notre Dame and Purdue usually have good football teams on selected years.
