TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Thirty current and former Sycamore student-athletes are set to earn bachelor's degrees from Indiana State University during spring commencement exercises at Hulman Center on Saturday.

The list is headlined by women's basketball player Kelsey Luna and volleyball player Kelli Whitaker, both of whom earned perfect 4.0 grade-point averages over their academic careers. Luna and Whitaker were both among 12 ISU students in their university class to garner the Hines Memorial Medal, presented annually to graduates with the highest cumulative GPA as undergraduates.

Two ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Americans - Luna and football's Daniel Millington - also highlight the list. Luna was a two-time selection, while Millington earned the academic honor in his senior season.

In addition, nine graduates combined for 25 All-MVC awards during their athletic careers: Luna (women's basketball); Whitney Fromm (volleyball); Breanne Smith (golf); Katlin Owens (soccer); Meredith Simpson (softball); Scott Keeney, Erica Moore, Eric Schulz and Josh Williams (cross country/track & field).

The football squad produced five graduates in Millington, Jerry Calvert, Jeramie Gray, Josh Jenkins and Kyle Toney, while the baseball team has a trio of graduates with Ben Caple, Tyler Graham and Scott Harlan.

The cross country and track & field teams have nine athletes earning degrees: Keeney, Moore, Schulz, Williams, Thomas Crum, Patrick Mendenhall, Lyle Nolcox, Amanda Paden and Adriane Wunderlich.

Luna and Laurence Rivest represent the women's basketball team, while golf also has a pair of graduates in Smith and Mackenzie Mack. Volleyball's Fromm, Whitaker and Stephanie Volden will all collect their degrees, and softball players Meagan McCurdy and Meredith Simpson -- along with the soccer trio of Owens, Noelle Carusillo and Erin Gibson -- finish their undergraduate work on Saturday.
