Channel 8 on BSU football

Sports anchor Chris Widlic announced on the 8 news at 10 on MyIndy TV tonight announced that Ball State has a tough schedule this year including 3 BCS opponents. It has been mentioned here on more that one occasion that the Cardinals should be an FCS program. Did he screw up or is he predicting the future of BSU football??? I hope I'm not the only Tree that appreciates the humor in this.

probably just a mistake, as they play only "FBS" teams, but 3 of those are from the Automatic Qualifying "Power Conferences" or "BCS". Their whole conference and Navy are all FBS schools. Too many labels for divisions if you ask me. Just go back to 1-A and 1-AA.

That will be changing as their coach wants to play a FCS team in 2013 and 2014 they have Illinois State scheduled.

You are correct; it most likely was an honest mistake. Or it could have been a neatly hidden slam on the MAC.
