I miss your Down in the Valley blog.

I think you should consider re-establishing this blog on a website away from the TribStar site (since there seems to be TribStar tech issues with your blog page).

Examples:
blogger.com
wordpress.com

Sincerely,

Until that hopefully happens, follow him on Twitter. He does a great job updating things throughout the game!

Agreed !

Even if I didn't read the Down in the Valley until after the game, it was still great commentary !

Bring it back somehow Todd and let us know how to "tune in"

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I really appreciate it.

As mentioned, the best way right now is to follow me on Twitter @TribStarTodd. It may be in 140-character pieces, but it's not unlike the live blogs I've done in the past.

For those of you who recoil at the thought of Twitter, I was like you just four short months ago. But really, it's kind of cool.

You don't have to Tweet to follow, I don't think you even have to join up, just go to Twitter.com and type in my handle (is that what they're called?). It'll call up my tweets.

If you do sign up, you can shoot me your own thoughts and questions, call me a jerk, make fun of my dorky picture in the Trib-Star ad that's supposedly somewhere in Hulman Center, etc.

As for the blog, it is in stasis right now, but it is not dead. The internal server it, along with Craig Pearson's blog, has been down. Our IT people will get to it.

Good suggestion though it may be, I don't want to go off the reservation and do my own ISU blog. I am a Tribune-Star employee and I need and want to do the blog in-house.

Not to sound brown-nosey, but despite rough economic waters that have seen other papers cut back on beat coverage, the Trib-Star is committed to covering ISU as thoroughly as it always has.

I respect that (and I hope readers do too, it's not easy for a paper our size to do all of the travel, etc.), so when the blog comes back, I want it in the Trib-Star family.

Anyhow, thank you for all of the kind words about Down In The Valley.

Thanks for a thoughtful reply Todd. The efforts of the paper to cover ISU are appreciated by all of us. I'm glad to follow it online, and I'm thrilled to do it at no cost. I might even look into that Twitter thing.
