Exhibition for one team -- counts as regular season for the other ? ? ?
OK -- that's a new one on me.

Maybe we should try that with some Big Ten teams -- you know we could play 2 - 3 of them each year -- an "exhibition" for them but it counts for us. That way if ….if they lose to us they could say it was just "exhibition", but we could say "Hey we beat Ohio State or Purdue !". Nothing to lose for them -- everything to gain for us !

Eureka ! I have found the answer to our scheduling problems !

They’re D2. Rules say they can have exhibitions whenever they want...not necessarily preseason. Exhibition for them makes sense so this loss (we presume...usually the D1 beats the D2 knock on wood) doesn’t count as a loss officially for them for D2 ranking purposes, D2 NCAA Tourney at large selections, etc.

Hate to say it but I foresee a morgue-like atmosphere in Hulman Center today. Hopefully our team doesn't play "dead". Prove me wrong.

Still waiting for you to be proven wrong. Sorry to say, it’s looking like we don’t give a shit whether we play basketball today.

Playing down to the opponent. Haven't we heard this over and over again. So tired of this trend. I would certainly give Brinkmeyer more of a look.

Welcome Neese and Williams. We obviously need an injection of energy, or something, and I hope they can provide it. At this point, we seem tired and a step slow on defense and our offense has become stale and easy to defend. Some new blood and talent will be added at a good time.

Zero excuses going forward after today. I’m boxing this game up and throwing it away. Done with all the cupcakes and time to get to work as a full roster against some good teams.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Another pitiful effort against a team we should beat on talent alone. Another D2 team with a couple of players who looked like they might help on our roster. Time will tell very soon I guess.
