This was probably the best over all game I have seen the Lady Sycamoes play all year. This was even with two seniors and leading scorers getting a combined 4 points. The game was not as close as the final score shows. With a little over 4.5 minutes left Coach Moren started putting in the players that do not get much court time. While the Redbirds had their starters in until the very end. This cut the lead from 20+ points to the final 14 point margin of victory. Two future Lady Sycamores were in attendance Rhagen Smith and Marina Laramie. Laramie will be a Sycamore next year. They looked very similar both 6'2" pretty much the same build. Both with very long curly hair. I still think Mahan is going to be a very good power forward for ISU. She doesn't have the outside shooting of Mattox but I think she will be better as far as rebounding and scoring around the basket. Valley replacing Schoen worries me. I think she can be a very good player but right now I think she makes way too many stupid turnovers. That I think will be fixed with time and also playing the 2 more than the PG spot. But what worries me is that she is only shooting 22% for the year 14-64 and only .5% from 3 point range 1-18 and 57% from the free throw line 8-14. Her form does not look that bad so I hope between now and next year she spends a lot of time in the gym shooting baskets. Not sure who will replace Shannon. I think Oyer and Rademacher have the potential but they aren't even getting much court time anymore. Laramie is having a solid senior HS year. She could come in and start as a freshman.
