since ISU is nearly leading the MVC I'll keep track of the other series to see if ISU can land in 1st by default after this weekend.

The other series are:

Mizzery State at Evansville
Wichita State at UNI
Illinois State at Southern Illinois
Bradley at Creighton

obviously we all want Evansville, UNI, SIU, and Bradley to win these series!

just an update:

Evansville over Mizzery State 9-3 in the 6th (an Evansville win puts ISU in FIRST place!)
SIU beat Illinois State (keeps Illinois State at bay)
CU over Bradley 2-1 in the 4th
WSU over UNI in the 3rd 6-2
 
9-8 Evansville leads in the bottom of the 8th at Evansville. Come on Aces!

UNI trails WSU 7-5 in the 5th, Bradley losing to CU 4-1 in the 6th
 
I just saw that! ISU in frist place! They'll have the same record as Creighton since Creighton will more than likely beat Bradley tonight. If Bradley can win just one game at CU that'll help ISU.

Although we have not played the best team in the conference or Wichita State, there is something to be said for having 3 straight conference sweeps against anybody. You can't win the conference if you don't beat the mid to bottom level teams.

Way to Go Trees! Keep it up!
 
Friday's game was a cake walk, but today's game may provide some better competition with Southern Indiana being a top contender in D2. Personally, I like competitive games as long as we're on top in the end!

WSU won the suspended game over UNI 10-7, game 2 of that series will be underway soon.

Illinois State is beating SIU in the 7th.

Bradley-Creighton must be in a rain delay or something.

Evansville is trailing MSU 9-6 in the 7th, come on Aces, win this series!
 
no help from Evansville today as MSU wins 14-6, MSU is now 10-3 in the MVC

Southern Illinois beats Illinois State 7-6
CU over Bradley 3-0 in the 5th
WSU over UNI 4-0 in the 5th.

Yo, ISUCC, think it might be time to change your signature? It seems a bit arrogant and dismissive considering the strides ISU baseball, basketball, and football have made. Just a suggestion. It's a tad offensive at this point.

Nice dude! I know you're a huge ISU fan and your intentions weren't such. I just wanted to point out how it might look to others, especially outsiders. You're a class act and a true Sycamore!

UNI with an early 3-2 lead on WSU in the 3rd today.

MSU at Evansville, ILS at SIU, and Bradley at CU underway shortly. Need wins by UNI, Evansville, SIU and Bradley today.
 
Bradley-Creighton rained out, yeah right, will not be made up

SIU is killing Illinois State 6-0 in the 6th

WSU and UNI tied at 4 in the 5th

MSU up 5-3 on Evansville in the 6th

other scores:
IU up 3-1 on Michigan (always good to see teams ISU beat do well)
Illinois beat Penn St. 9-2 (ISU plays Illinois soon)
 
WSU at UNI gets rained out in the 4th, tied at 4, so no game, no stats, the game never occurred
 
no help from Evansville today, MSU winning 11-3 in the 9th.

it's on to Wichita for Indiana State next weekend, huge series that ISU needs to win at least 2 games.
