Encouraged by Our Play

I was gonna start this thread by asking, "Am I the only one encouraged by our play last night?" But I realize I'm not the only one and and there are plenty of believers out there.

I sincerely believe we can get to our game with Missouri State with a four-game winning streak and an 18-10 record...I'm not looking past any of our upcoming opponents, I just think that if we play against almost any team in the Valley* like we did last night, we're probably gonna win.

I was pretty pissed during the game last night, but I realized that that was because we were so close. I agree with you, Quabachi, after seeing it again, I'm encouraged. We're getting our swagger back.

Absolutely. I think we are starting to put things together. I think we have several players that have stepped up recently and we can finish strong and I think we have a chance at 20 wins.
Wichita might be better than the NIT championship team and we aren't that far away from them.

Agree with all above.The last 4 games we have played pretty well.No letdown and we can finish the season with momentum going into the MVC tournament.

They are playing better

Everything did not come together last night. Walker played solid against some overwhelming odds of being forearmed and hooked. Odum is shooting the ball more often and hitting his shots. Over the last 3 to 4 games our team is playing better on both ends and making better decisions on the floor. Richard has picked his defense and shooting much better.. McWhorter is playing much better offensively and defensively. Lathan is making much better decisions and scoring more. The bench is playing much better. I would like to see our free throw shooing improve. Kitchell needs to get more playing time.
