I was wondering which one We would be on this year. If we are on ESPN+ most games I may end up dropping cable.

If Golden is accurate, and I see no reason for him not to be, and the MVC. the MVFC and the member schools gain little or nothing finically, the cynic in me makes me wonders why Elgin inked the deal. Opinions???

I'll pay during the basketball season, but nothing else. Which is a bummer, come baseball time.

I used to pay for SycamoreVision, and that service SUCKED. At least ESPN+ is relatively high quality.

The MVC needs to follow the model the Big Sky, OVC, and the Big South have done. Make a Digital Network where you can stream all the games for free. It's time to dump ESPN. They have too many financial issues and the conference gains nothing by making deals with them.

sure I'll pay. Only 5 bucks a month. Less that a 6" Sub. Cheap price to pay to watch the Trees.

Agreed. As much as I hate to put money in ESPN pocket, I will pony up an Abe Lincoln to stay plugged into the school I want to root on and support. If I didn’t, I would be completely out of the loop like I was before there was internet/Sycamore Vision/cable...

I may be wrong but I think ESPN holds the rights to the MVC tournament championship game. CBS pays them. If I am wrong would someone please break from the normal politeness of this board and let me know.

Is anyone familiar with the payment terms for Plus? I am wondering if it is something you can do for a few months, skip a couple, then bring it back / is it a yearlong committment?

If I can sign up for it month to month, I will probably do it. Will sign up the night before the first football game to be broadcast, and then five minutes after the last basketball game they broadcast is over.

If it requires a longer, locked in commitment I will most likely pass.

drop ESPN for a free crappy internal media student with a digital camera?? Have you ever watched a Big Sky game on their Free network, Its terrible. Sep thru Nov $15 for HD video, Ill take it, the advantage to the Plus over 3 is its not going to have the same rolling adds or cut outs in it, all full broadcasts.

This is the next step ESPN is taking and would be very surprised if ESPN3 is around in 2 years anyway. Cable Bundle content is going away and people want Internet based portable content like this, I know I do, ESPN3 was great but it had connection issues, this paid service should be top quality
