FCS playoffs announced

I apologize if this has been posted in another thread. Can't believe the MVFC only got two teams. Really think YSU got hosed, and would destroy most of the other at large teams (and some of the other conferences' champions). Obviously the committee didn't think too highly of our conference this season.

I thing YSU should of got in but looking at their schedule the 3 losses in a row to end their season hurt plus it looks like their nonconference schedule hurt them too (Morehead Stare and Duquesne).

after looking into the playoffs this year, it seems like an absolute joke on the selection committees part. the fact that the OVC got 3 in when they have not won a playoff game since 1997 is ridiculous. Sam Houson State got in after beating 1, yes 1 team with a winning record and the same can be said for the South Carolina State who plays in the meat grinder known as the MEAC...

it appears strength of schedule does not matter anymore, so IMO we need to schedule out of conference games vs. I-AA teams MUCH weaker than we are (if that's possible after this year's debacle) i.e., Drake, Butler and the likes, win those games, then HOPE we can go 4-4 in MVFC play. We're obviously going to have one game vs. a I-A team, IU, Purdue, Minnesota, etc... that will probably be a loss, but the other 3 non conference games need to be vs. I-AA teams that we must win, then 4 wins in the MVFC gets us 7 wins vs. I-AA teams and a shot at the playoffs.

It may be 2-3 more years of rebuilding before this scenario can happen, but I think that's what they need to work toward.
