Weatherman, who will be honored Thursday as a member of the Indiana Fever’s 2009 class of Inspiring Women, played for ISU in the early Sixties and was a pioneer high school coach and college official. Weatherman started the basketball and volleyball programs at Franklin High School.

Why hasn't State inducted her...

into the HoF? Is it a complicated process? No backing?

It's also time to induct Butch Wade and John Sherman Williams into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

Wade and Williams are in Hall of Fame

Butch Wade and John Sherman Williams are already in the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame. Wade was inducted in 1984. Weatherman is not.

Ummm -- the INDIANA BASKETBALL Hall of Fame

Not the Indiana State University Hall of Fame but:

The INDIANA BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME (www.hoopshall.com) -- the one that was unceremonially RIPPED out of Indianapolis and plunked down in New Caste (seriously, New Castle?!)

The one that requires a 25 year waiting period from HS graduation before a player may be inducted.

Sorry. When you used the term "State," I incorrectly presumed that you meant "Indiana State University." As you may know, Cheryl Weatherman already is in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

When I say STATE...

I only mean Indiana State University; when I refer to any GoI (Gov't of Indiana) / state-wide entity; I type 'State of Indiana'

I don't know what the criteria for induction into the Ind BBall HoF is but I'm pretty confident Willams and Wade have the cred's...maybe something the MBB SID could honcho?!
