I noticed that there are just five seniors with nine junior transfers...and a whole slew of freshmen! Naturally, a ton of newcomers to the program. It'll be interesting to see how things look as the season approaches. One observation is that they will need for some strong leadership to step forward and they will need to continue the culture that has been built in the program over the past three years.

i noticed a couple of uni transfers.....

on the list of roster newcomers.....wonder why they waited a year to come....i thought that since uni dropped the program that their players would be able to transfer without sitting out a year....maybe isu didn't have enough roster space for them...and they just waited a year until there was room for them to come on over.....

I am not a baseball expert by any means but that would appear to me to be a very doable schedule for a pretty darned good team. Good scheduling by Coach Heller or so it would seem. Could be another 30+ win season.

Should be closer to 40 with that non-conference schedule. Surprised to see Illinois-Springfield on the schedule but I guess they need to play someone. DII school in its first year. My nephew bought the sales pitch about starting a new program and enrolled there.

I was thinking 40 but didn't want to stick my neck out since I am not a baseball guy, just a Tree fan.

looking like another good team. cant wait for fallball to start and catch some of the workouts

ISU got a lot of transfer pitchers, which will help our younger pitchers.

Does anyone if they plan on using Wampler as a pitcher, just wondering?
