I especially agreed with his assertion that certain MVC schools (most, really) became too enamored with their own success and decided they were too good to take 2-for-1 deals or even buy games with the big boys. Playing those guys was one of the ingredients for our success in the middle part of the last decade. We should have the "play anybody, anywhere, anytime" philosophy.
What really stinks, in my mind, is the fact that while the rest of the league was enjoying the fruits of those hugely winning teams, we were mired in mediocrity. We really missed the boat, and now the league has gone way, waaaaaay down the hill.
Oh well, maybe it's just up to us to bring it back??? Why not???
